86Words is Back in Business (Again)

As many of you have noticed, the site has been updated very little lately - I’ve been in the middle of a system-change for my primary computer. I’ve been saying goodbye to the old Windows dependency and hello to the new Mac addiction!

It took me a while to get everything set up, but now I have my blog software (BlogDesk) running in Parallels on my iMac, and I’m good to go - site updates should resume with their previous frequency.

Windows 7 Upgrade Pricing at Best Buy

Engaget has a story about Best Buy’s “Vista Upgrade” policy starting Jun 26 : (that I haven’t been able to fully coroberate, so take it with a grain of salt, though perhaps only a very small one).

Basically, if you buy a PC after June 26, the “upgrade” will be free; if you just want to buy the upgrade, it will pre-sell for $49.00, with a “Pro” version for $99.00.
