ZPG : YAY!!!

ZPG = Zero Player Game (though really it’s closer to .02-Players).

The premise is that you’re not a hero.

You’re his deity.

You don’t have to do stuff, he does!

You can reward or punish him, or you can just check in and read the updates to his diary, inventory, etc.

And if I didn’t mention, the game is hilarious!

(I’ll accept the first 2 friend requests)!

This is the left 1/3 of the display - the only real important thing here is the health bar - you can affect this with your punish/reward choices.

This is the center section where you’ll spend most of your time. Here you read the hero’s diary, track your Godpower, and store it up in the "batteries" (Note that you see my "Deity Name" here - Jaidex).

Here is the right 1/3 - my hero (Lorkinn) has not joined subscribed to any Pantheons, has some (amusing) equipment, and currently has no friends or messages..

86Words : B.I.B.

I just realized how long it’s been since 86Words had an update. I could make excuses; trapped by hair-lipped zombies probed by alien salsa dancers, eaten by giant fava beans, etc., but in reality I’ve just been busy with life stuff.

I can only apologize and attempt to never let it happen again.

86Words is, again, B.I.B. (Back In Business)

In the immortal sunken words read by Marvin in the HHG books,

"We apologize for the inconvenience".

What’s interesting about these pics?

Look at the pics below - what’s interesting about them?

If you said "There’s nobody in them," you were right.

These are just a couple of the 3D reality paintings done by David Jon Kassan.

Though the original article on CoachDesigner.com focuses on this aspect of the artist’s work, he does others that involve things like peeling paint (that isn’t), and pencil drawings.

See more after the jump.

No, seriously, there’s nobody there!

Hey, there’s nobody looking at you in this picture!

POTRTP: The Death Star - Memories of the Early Days

Hey all, I know my updates have been slow lately, but I’ve been really, really busy (yes, even for me - the guy who held a passenger jet at the jet way to finish a phone call!).

Nonetheless, when I saw this image, I absolutely had to share!

So it’s 10 minutes less sleep for the update - life goes on, right?

<raspy voice> Ya know, Darth… One day this little shanty could grow into an EMPIRE!

It’s good to lose control now and then, as long as you can get it back!

Coma: BEAUTIFUL game, BIZARRE atmosphere!

Coma is probably the most visually beautiful in-browser game I’ve ever seen. The play style is simple and the story is engaging.

Warning, however: the feel is very, very weird (extremely well done, but very weird)! The music and the graphics combine together very nicely to produce an overall effect that’s practically hypnotic.

Don’t try it unless you’re looking for something really different!

"Coma" is very mysterious

This view of a "world [that] is a lie" shows up in the first few rooms you’ll encounter

Other inhabitants include the bird over my shoulder and this young girl playing with a jump-rope (and many others).

Some things are just really worth seeing for yourself!

Crayola; how many people can even think of the name without practically smelling the waxy scent and remembering the joy of being able to select from as many as 64 or 240(!) different colors?

Here’s a slideshow showing the making of Crayola Crayons - I love this stuff!

I’m totally tempted by this to buy like a billion boxes of crayons and beat the record!

Speaking of that distinct "Crayola" scent - does focusing on this picture make you almost smell it?

From looking at the slideshow, this guy appears to make all of the red crayons, from start to finish!
