Even horrifying, TV-static-traipsing, ghoulish, dead nightmare-children have to deal with Murphy…

"Gandalf the Grey. Saruman the White. Jackson the Pink."
This was too good to ignore - I stole this lock, stock, and barrel from here:
(Excellent caption, nmcglone!)
How many times have you had to select some text and then choose a new font for it over and over (and over, and over) until you decided which one looked best?
Well, there IS a better way.
FlippingTypical.com is a simple web-app that shows whatever you type in every font on your system, at the same time!
Goodbye tedium; hello FlippingTypical!

I had more fonts on my system than this, of course, but I think it’s enough to give the idea.
Well, this is quite cool, but there’s not really a whole lot to say. It’s art, right, made on a typewriter (by artist Keira Rathbone in this case)!
(Okay, I’ll add one thing - it looks HARD!)

This is my favorite piece shown in the article - the topic matter just "WORKS, man"!

Here’s a zoom-out view showing the whole thing. I’m diggin’ it!

Here’s a simpler piece (and I don’t mean simpler to do - those circles must be MURDER! I wonder if she’s done a typewriter…

Geez dad, this news is coming out of NOWHERE!
If there’s one art genre I dig as much as steampunk, it’s retro-future, as shown here!
Some of these are amazing, but I think they were bigger projects than the previous junkbots I reviewed.
Whenever I see these things done well, I feel like trying it myself - really just to have the cool pieces standing around my workroom.
I need more hobbies, right?

This is Old Blue. He’s 28 inches tall and has a light-up jet pack! WANT!

This awsome guy is Red Lightening. He’s 24 inches tall, uses an Australian Drive-In speaker for his body, and also has a light up jetpack. WANT MORE!

While not one of the robots, this piece was just too cool not to show! It stands 38 Inches tall and is made from parts of a radio and a clarinet! AWESOME!

If you’re looking for a really unusual set of gaming dice, take a look at the offerings at Shapeways!
Shapeways is an online company that will 3D print pretty much anything you want, and they carry an extensive online store of things that people have designed and will sell you at a mark-up from the production costs.
The dice shown here are all from the first page (of 12 pages) of dice listings!

This is a good example of the unusual kinds of things you’ll find at the jump. You could order a set of these from several colors of plastic or seven types of metal.

I think this is my favorite of the ones I’ve looked at - you may have noticed I have a thing for steam punk! This D20 would cost you from $13.78 for a Black Plastic one up to $123.41 for a Glossy Silver one.
This totally cool D6 might be an example of one that would only look good in Silver Glossy!
MomentMail is a free service that lets you to send emails to any email address at a specified date and time in the future.
If you tend to forget things like birthdays and anniversaries, this could certainly help, just email yourself a reminder a few days before.
Also, if you’re the cloak and dagger type, consider the possibilities of sending a message that you can threaten will be delivered if anything should "happen" to you!

I found a slightly more novel use for the service! I can’t wait for that email delivery!

You have options for watching the future mails you’ve scheduled, or those that have already been sent.

Here’s a view of the "Scheduled Momentmails" that shows the one I sent above.
