Portable Ubuntu may be the your answer.
Ubuntu, one of the most popular varieties of Linux around is also one of the simplest to use. Now you can run it UNDER Windows! You don’t have to give up your preferred O/S to try Linux, you can do it without risk (and even leave it that way if you prefer!).
You can even run it from a flash drive!
